This year’s Gala features a Kentucky Derby theme: Donn your bowties and fancy hats. Enjoy a night filled with mint juleps, blackjack, roulette, bourbon tasting, dinner, dancing & good friends.

Ticket holders at the “Mentor” level and above have onsite reserved seating.

All other ticket levels – seating will be publicly available onsite at these throughout the evening on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Our Story: Enriching Lives Through Horses

For 86 years, New Canaan Mounted Troop (NCMT) has upheld a unique and valuable mission to build leadership, responsibility and confidence in youth through sound horsemanship; and to enrich the lives of individuals with special needs through equine assisted experiences.

Today, the devoted team and volunteers at Mounted Troop work to deepen the bond between humans and horses through programs that connect over 400 adults and children each year with the beauty, power and wisdom of horses:

Super Troopers, a therapeutic program for children and adults with special needs.
Troopers, a youth development program where children ages 7–18 are mentored through equine care, riding and barn management.

Your generous support will enable New Canaan Mounted Troop to continue to bring its life changing programming to our community as well as provide the care, feeding, maintenance and retirement of the 28 donated horses and ponies at our barn. NCMT is a unique program that uses sound horsemanship and equine care to teach our students leadership skills, team work, community service.
